Donpan festival – A festival that was first held in 1985 in Nakasen, the home of Donpan dance, for regional activation. Later, a rock version of the Donpan song was created and choreographed to gain popularity among younger people. As 40,000 people participate in the festival, the small town of 2,000 inhabitants gets crowded on the day. In addition to Donpan, the festival includes a Sasara dance presentation, which is the main attraction for some people. You can experience a near-trance state feeling refreshed while dancing wildly. The festival ends with a firework show.
